Reishi mushroom, grows in Asia and has long been used in Asian traditional medicine for longevity and general health. Nowadays, reishi is used as a food supplement because of certain health benefits.
The main biologically active compounds in the fungus are beta-glucan polysaccharides and ganodeceric and ganoderenic acids (also known as triterpenes). In addition, it contains polyphenol antioxidants, probiotic fibre, ergosterol (a vitamin D substitute), peptides, enzymes and more.
Recommended daily dose: 2 capsules twice a day.
