The filter for bottled drinks is made from a white wood called Binchōtan – place the filter in the bottle and fill the bottle with water. With the help of a filter, you can transform tap water into something much more beneficial for your health. The filter ensures optimal pH levels, reduces chlorine and replenishes the water with minerals such as iron, magnesium and calcium. The water is ready to drink after 1 hour, but it’s best after 8 hours.
The filter lasts 6 months (if you fill the bottle once a day). After 3 months of use, boil the filter in water for 10 minutes, let it dry (preferably in the sun) and you can use it for another 3 months.
Use only cool water in the bottle – hot water has a negative effect on the absorption of chemicals into the filter. Carbon particles may be suspended in filtered water. They are non-toxic and do not interfere with drinking.
At the end of the recommended life of the drinking water purifier, the filter can be reused as a flower fertiliser or as a moisture and odour remover in wardrobes, storage boxes and cat litter boxes.
