Palo Santo (Bursera graveolens), which means “sacred tree”, grows in the Amazon rainforests of Ecuador and Peru. It belongs to the same family as copal, myrtle and incense. Its wood, leaves and oil have been used for thousands of years by local shamans to heal the body and soul, cleanse rooms, remove negative energy and prepare for meditation. Palo Santo has a sweet, balsamic and herbal fragrance that is wonderfully soothing and relaxing, carrying with it a powerful healing and cleansing energy.
